8 Local Jewellery Companies You Will Fall In Love With

It’s always exciting to find out about local jewellery companies you hadn’t heard of before. Especially, if they are unique in style and aren’t well known to the public yet. You may have already heard about some of these brands, but I’m always looking for new brands that fit my sense of style. If you’re looking for something cheap, the mall always has good options, of course. This list is for those looking to shop pieces that are special and will last you a lifetime.

As I have said before, it’s important to support locally, so below is my list of my top seven favourite local jewellery companies:

1. Jenny Bird

If you haven’t heard about this brand, you are seriously missing out. Jenny Bird is an inspiring company that started as an e-commerce brand and quickly set off. Her beautiful taste for design is reflected in her pieces which are classy with a little flair. The collection includes necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, with extra hype on her signature hoop earrings.

2. Mejuri

Mejuri is a bit more well-known than the others below but worth the mention. This Ontario-started company already has a strong fan base and has continued to grow at a rapid pace. With new additions each week, along with free shipping, this brand went from an e-commerce site to having over with over 400K followers on Instagram and are now killing it on the market. The company cuts out the middleman to make affordable pieces like earrings, necklaces, and stackable rings.

3. Anice Jewellery

This label began with taking old treasures that were forgotten and rework them into something new and one-of-a-kind. You can completely customize and design your own pieces with totally unique gems and jewels. The employees make them in-house so it doesn’t take too long for it to be completed. There are also ready-made items that are perfect for birthday gifts, which are affordable and every-day wearable. In-store, they often do workshops where you can make your own one-of-a-kind necklace or bracelet.

4. Willow Fine Jewelry

This amazing hand-crafted brand has a ton of amazing solid gold pieces to choose from, which are all made locally and ethically sourced. They sell pieces that are perfect for layering necklaces and stacking rings. Choose between simple or embellished earrings that make a statement. All their jewelry fits well with almost any outfit, and you can dress yourself up or down based on your outfit.

5. Biko

The brand’s funky yet minimalist design is what makes it so different. With vintage touches, their pieces include metals and natural stones. Biko’s perfect balance between delicate and edgy is what really makes this jewellery line so noteworthy.

6. Bluboho

I’ve written about them in my last article but I just adore their simple yet elegant pieces. You can find tons of gorgeous handcrafted pieces, including the Bluboho line which are designed and built locally at one of their three GTA locations.

7. Attic Gold

This Toronto company has the most stunning stacking rings, wedding bands, and custom engagement rings. All of their jewelery is made from solid gold and their diamonds are locally sourced. ATTIC studio is situated in the King East Design District in Toronto, Ontario.

8. Gemmie

Gemmie is a direct to consumer fine jewellery line that puts a strong focus on where she sources her metals and genuine stones. Her trendy and stylish pieces are fun and bold, with minimalistic pieces, as well. The brand also focuses on a wide range of customization for shoppers. When you make a purchase, the company donates 5% of the sale to your choice of non-profit, which I think is incredible.
