About adventureontario

Growing up in a city my whole life always felt right at the time but as someone who likes their quiet time, I was drawn more and more to the outdoors as I got older. My Instagram account began after attending university in Halifax and living in Whistler for a summer. That was when I realized how important a role nature played in my life. Pushing aside stress isn’t easy, but going somewhere unfamiliar, somewhere new, was a great way for me to fully calm my mind. I discovered how important travel is to feel at peace with oneself, whether it’s a three hour drive to the Bruce Peninsula or a plane ride to an exotic country like Morocco. adventureontario continued to grow a following and I felt like others could relate.

Since it’s not always easy to go such far distances, due to financial restraints or a hectic work schedule, I decided to create this blog to showcase all the special and unique places around Ontario I’ve been to or plan to explore, including stunning hotels, delicious restaurants, photo-worthy hikes, charming towns, interesting interiors and lots more. When trying to find something similar, I struggled to find a consistent channel that would help guide my adventures. My dogs are always up for a good adventure and photography has always been a passion of mine, so it was pretty much a match made in heaven.

I hope this is something that will help inspire people to get out and find the beauty around them. I’ve learned you don’t have to go very far at all.

If you’re interested in learning more about my travels abroad – I have lots of information to share. I’m in my late twenties, work in digital marketing and have lived in Toronto for over 15 years. Some of my favourite things are: dogs, travel (shocking, I know), podcasts, grapefruit mimosas, and crime documentaries.
